Double Decker Tours offers the best tourist experience in Washington DC. Riding the Double Decker buses, you will be able to have the most visible sights of famous places like Union Station, the US Capitol building, the White House, Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, Roosevelt Memorial, World War II Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Air & Space Museum, and any of the other 17 amazing museums (some with free entrance from the Smithsonian Foundation).

Your hop on hop off tickets are valid for either 24 or 48 hours - whichever you purchase - giving you a good orientation of all the city has to offer. Each of the individual tour routes takes 60 to 90 minutes if you stay on the bus...but the hop on hop off facility enables you to visit any of the attractions along each route, such as the Arlington National Cemetery - the most hallowed burial ground of America's fallen military and one of the most visited tourist sites in Washington DC. Also located at Arlington are the Tomb of the Unknown, the Memorial Amphiteatre and the Eternal Flame at the John F. Kennedy burial site.

The tours feature entertaining and informative narration. If you're new to Washington, one option to consider is to ride an entire loop to get a good feel for what you will want to go back and visit as you hop-off and hop-on at various stops on the loop. In a full day, you can make approximately 5-6 stops to visit many, but not all, of the hundreds of available attractions.

Family Rate

There are special Family Rate options for either the 48 hour or the 24 hour version of this tour. Selecting the Family Rate will cover payment for two adults and up to three children ages 5-15. Additional adults and/or children ages 5-15 can be purchased using the "per-person" pricing options.

PLEASE NOTE

These tours do not operate on July 4, or Christmas Day. On Thanksgiving Day, tours cease operating at 3:00 pm and night tour tickets will be honored on the Friday evening after Thanksgiving. Tours may not be available other days, or schedule of departures may be changed due to road closures or special events in Washington.

Hop-on-Hop-off priveleges are valid for either 24 or 48 hours, depending on what option you have purchased.

Both 24 Hour and 48 Hour tickets are also valid for the Twilight (night) Tour at no extra cost.

Some federal facilities are closed on weekends and holidays; some require timed tickets resulting in extended waiting in line for tours. No timed tickets are included in the tour price.
